I have to say, I woke up feeling really great today! I love mornings and I just had a good feeling about the day and about life in general.
It’s also a new month! Which means it’s time for new goals. First, a recap of my previous goals (Jan/Feb combined, due to the marathon).
Keep up with the Core Fusion Challenge. Done and done, with lovely results!
Keep a food journal. Done and done because I love my Fitbook!
Get my cholesterol tested. Also done! Will call my doctor next week to see my results!
Find a hobby/relax for 20 minutes a day. This took more work than I would have expected! Time flies and suddenly it would be later than I realized, but I really did make it a point to get off my computer every night, leave it in my office, and do something mindless before bed. A few times I watched an episode of Three’s Company — I find this show so hilarious! I have the DVDs! — but usually I just stared at my bedroom wall and listened to music. Whatever, my mind was clear. I’m definitely going to keep up this habit!
All right, then…March goals!
DE-CLUTTER! Ohhh, spring cleaning has begun! This was on my mind, but I was reading the March O Magazine a couple weeks ago and I got so inspired to start cleaning. I’ve already started some projects and it feels great. My specific goal is to do one de-clutter project per week. Biggest barriers: not wanting to spend an hour de-cluttering. Reward: a functioning closet. My closet is…simply not acceptable. And — bonus! — this sort of counts as relaxing because it’s not sitting in front of my computer and I can groove to tunes while I’m doing it.
Start the 100 Push-Ups Challenge. I don’t know what’s gotten in my head, but I just want to. Teri at A Foodie Stays Fit has been doing it, and she’s kicking ass…so I’m jumping on the wagon! I’ve been doing more push-ups for the past few weeks to prepare myself for it, but yesterday I decided I’m going to start over from scratch and do the challenge from my toes! It sounds intimidating, but seriously…so did running a marathon. (You can check out the training plan here. I just did my very first session and it wasn’t so bad. I’m pretty proud that I can do any push-ups on my toes!) Biggest barriers: I have the upper body strength of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Reward: Dropping and doing real push-ups like a champ!!!
New Year’s Resolution Goals (Cooking/Culture). Initially I was going to make cooking with saffron and scallops my cooking goal…so I decided to combine this with the cultural goal and cook up a Spanish paella!
I’m pumped! Should be a great month!
What are your March goals?? HOLLER BACK, GIRLS

My March goals are to really get back into running and to also declutter my room. It is such a mess! It’s hard when you live with roommates and have to keep most of your belongings in your room.

Ahh finally someone else who does monthly goals as well!
My March goals are to 1. break 200 pounds (I’ve been above 200 for 3 years or so now) and 2. try cycling! I’ve always been so intimidated by those grunting sweaty bikers but I really really want to be one of them eek
Awesome entry. I’m going to have to check out getting a fitbook. I tracked food w/Nutrisystem but the fitness end was just “did you do it” or “not”
The uncluttering goal sound great. I think my clutter is just laundry. =/ I should do laundry more than once a month. O_o
I’d love to try a spinning class this month. I just got back to the gym last week after being gone for 4 weeks due to a sprained back. I’m so excited to be back, took a Zumba class this morning and loved it – although my two left feet kept getting in the way – and the next thing is Spinning! I have to blame you for my afternoon being totally wasted (well, maybe not wasted, exactly…) reading your blog! Where’s your archives? I’d love to start at the beginning.

I’m stil thinkingof some goals for March, I may try and get back on track with my running! Love your push up goal, I need to some of those.
Awesome goals. The push-up challenge will amaze you. And make you feel like a freaking rockstar. But cooler because most rockstars are WACK.
anyway, I need to think of my March goals…I’m thinking one will be to not hit snooze more than once and actually get up relatively close to the time I set my alarm for. Novel concept.

I just pictured a T-Rex doing a pushup…
Anyhow, March goals! Do yoga once a week at least, finish my computer model so I can GRADUATE!, apply to at least a job per week.

Loving everyone’s goals, especially the future CYCLERS!! Spin me right round, ladies!!!!
Ok, I am LOVING the idea of this push-up challenge! I think push-ups are one of the single best things you can do when working out. How are you doing your 100 – in a certain number of sets? half in the morning/half at night? I think I’m gonna try this as well!
Get in on it!!! Tracy called it the “mini arm marathon” and I LOVE it!! Just check out the site, take the initial push-up test, and then jump right in!
I’m posting my goals tomorrow! And participating in the out of the box challenge so so excited! I was lagging a little on my posts today. Oh well. I had high hopes I will post them all tomorrow. But a brief view of my goals for this month:
Drink more water at least 4 bottles a day
Eat more vegetables
Wake up at least a half hour earlier (need to start small)
Do “Morning Pages” – I will explain what those are later well in my post tomorrow

I absolutely love paellas!! When you plan to accomplish this let me know because I’d love to join. We all know what a fan I am of your cooking. My March goals are to complete the Disney Princess Half Marathon, get back into pilates, get back into tennis, and stop calling the idiot private.
Literal LOL — yes, not calling certain people on private is a VERY good goal, friend!!
I have made paella a couple times! I have an authentic recipe straight from the kitchen of an old Spanish lady, and I used a recipe from a cookbook as a reference for measurements, etc. It’s a really simple dish, so you have to be very precise with your ingredients and equipment. And when you make it the right way…oh man. Wonderful. Let me know if you you want the recipe/my sage advice. I brought my paella pan to NYC, so I’m thinking of making some again soon.
