The worst part of training for a marathon is most definitely the hideous Asics I have to wear for all my training runs. They just look like grandma shoes. Hard to feel BA in those! So as part of my taper week, I decided to design some new custom Nikes, to be ordered upon completion of the full Mary on Sunday.
You can put custom words on them heels of them, but there is a five letter limit. I was sitting there with my mom designing them, and when it got to the words, without thinking I just typed “HOLLA” on the left shoe, and “BACK” on the right. We cracked up but hey…perfect fit!
Check out the
Nike Shox Navina+ iD Running Shoe
I designed at NIKEiD.com
These are not your white-girl Asics. These will be on my mind on Sunday.
Also, remember my quest for an apple bottom? WHY BOTHER WITH SQUATS!? I could have spent $19.95 on Booty Pop Panties!
I have to show this to Preston. He’s so obsessed with infomercials and ASOTV products and doesn’t realize how funny it is. He cried when my mom wouldn’t buy him the Perfect Brownie Pan. (He kept saying, “You can have a bake sale!”) He suggested I get Bump-Its. The other day he was sitting in my room and just casually turned to me and said with a straight face, “Zsaz [his nickname for me]…Zsaz, a full closet is a wrinkled closet.” Naturally, I looked at him oddly and he said, “You should get the Wonder Hanger and triple your closet space.” No expression, just totally “I’m five years old and trying to be helpful” dead serious. Later in the day he came up to me in the bathroom and said (again, totally straight-faced), “Zsaz, that straightening iron is damaging your hair.” I said, “What!?!” He said, “You should get the In-Styler,” and stalked away angrily.
I hate how much TV he watches but I don’t even care. IMMD!

Uh, so glad someone else writes messages to themselves. True confession: I have “HARD” and “CORE” written on each thumb of my little cold-weather running gloves. AND “BAD” and “ASS” written on each foot of some socks (my dad gifted me with this one). Somehow having it on your socks makes it seems slightly less so…
