Last week, I talked about making good goals and updating your Vision Board, and got an awesome response from readers and Tweeters! Personally, I just got so excited and inspired hearing about all of you chasing what you want and deserve! For those of you still skeptical, check out this article from the New York Times about how the glamorization of Carrie Bradshaw and her friends is so over–these days, young women are spending less time shopping for shoes and more time discovering their own spirituality and strength…whether it’s through books, classes, coaches, or internet communities. Basically, your vision board is the new hot thing!
Kriss Carr, an actress who made the documentary “Crazy Sexy Cancer” about her battle with cancer and subsequent self-transformation, and continues to inspire women, said in the article, “We are encouraging people to eat right, to exercise, to tap into their spirituality, to start listening to themselves, and to do it in a way that’s bold and resonates.”
The word “bold” really stuck out to me. I, too, want to take care of myself and be bold in a way that resonates! According to the dictionary, bold is:
| 1. | not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff; courageous and daring |
| 2. | not hesitating to break the rules of propriety; forward; impudent |
| 3. | necessitating courage and daring; challenging |
| 4. | beyond the usual limits of conventional thought or action; imaginative |
Yep, those are all things I want to do! So that’s my inspiration for the weekend. And PS–read the article the whole way through for a lovely closing about the powers of the VB!! (I half-got really excited and half-wasn’t surprised at all.) And seriously, if you haven’t made yours yet, do it TODAY!

I love Kriss Carr, she has a great blog. She is very inspirational. I totally agree with being bold. I want to do the same with my life, my health, and my work on this earth!
