A Hump Day Treat: The "Before" Pics

by Rachel on 08/19/2009

OK so I wrote in my “About Me” that I used to weigh more than 200 pounds, and I have been meaning to post “Before” pictures, but I had to track some down. Unfortunately for us now, I don’t have a lot of pictures from that time, and even less from the neck down, because who wants to pose for pics when your body is not quite a Wonderland? Anyway, I tore apart my house last weekend with a mission to head to Memory Lane, and…success! I think I got a little heavier than is seen here, but you get the idea.

OK first up: sophomore year Sadies dance. I look like a drag queen, except drag queens are so much better looking than this! The sequins, the shadow…but no Spanx.

OK really, can we talk about the cow-print belt? Yeah, cow is right.

The next picture was at my Cherubs banquet, and I think I actually lost some weight that summer. Not in my face, apparently.

Then we have my dog’s first birthday party. I pretty much hated my life that year (senior year of high school), hence why I was hanging out with my dog so much.

And finally, the full-lengther…

WOW! I can’t even believe I was wearing shorts…talk about Chub Rub!

So…these pictures are the reason that people who barely know me ask how to lose weight. (Please see the “After” pictures here, lest you believe I still look like that.) And they are the reason I know that anyone can make changes in her lifestyle and body!

They are also the reason I have a good sense of humor now–when you’ve got thighs like that, you need a good personality.

OMG I have never seen these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t even believe that’s you. How amazing! And on that note I am dragging my ass to the gym (but you aren’t going to get me to do any sort of master cleanse).

Please look at these pictures whenever you are thinking about NOT going to the gym!

Holy cow, incredible transformation! It’s amazing how much inspiration you can find around the blog world.

Congratulations. I don’t think it’s weird that fitness is your hobby. If your hobby was weight loss, that might be a problem, but not fitness!

As for your question on my blog, I wish it were true! But I have never had any hint of running better after drinking the day before. It dehydrates me way too much!
