Oh my gosh, is it after noon already!?! Where did my morning go?
Well I slept like a rock last night after “16 & Pregnant” (how great was the reunion by the way?!?) I felt much better when I woke up. I went to meet an old friend at the gym so she could attend her first Spinning class! I had a chocolate banana smoothie and a whole-grain English muffin with AB & J to get going.
I am glad I had a friend at the gym today, because I might have dragged ass otherwise. But I made it! I felt a little queasy a few times. My head is clear, but my stomach is still a bit unhappy–probably from donating blood and then eating too much cheese. Yuck!
I am so excited the workout is over with though. In less than an hour I am heading down to Farmington Hills to see my friend Kaitlin!
This has been a study abroad reunion week! Cara Binder and Jordan…now Kait! Kaitlin is so much fun and so sweet. We didn’t get along at first (there was a boy problem) but one night we just put our differences aside and hit the city of Belfast together. It was a riot. I remember going into one bar with her and everyone gushing about the pretty American girls with the very white teeth. Kaitlin taught me how to flirt in bars, and I still pull out her techniques when I’m low on cash and feeling shameless. (“Isn’t my friend pretty? You should buy her a drink.” WORKS EVERY TIME.) The night we became official friends in Belfast, we wandered into a punk club where everyone had major mohawks, tats, and piercings, and we did some crazy Irish punk dancing. Not everyone was thrilled at us becoming friends, and that night, when we came into the tiny, tiny hostel at 3 AM, a huge fight ensued–it reminded me of “The Real World,” when all the roommates go batshit. The next day we all had to be up at 6 to fly to Edinburgh, and Kaitlin and I were still having a ball. And we’ve been friends ever since!
Halloween 2007! Such fun!!
We’re going to go out to lunch, and since I’ll be in the area, I might meet up with other friends from college later this evening. I love my friends! We do a good job of keeping in touch, but there’s nothing like seeing their faces.
Have a great weekend!!
