Getting it Om

OK…more on this whole yoga challenge.  I think the more I do it, the more I’ll get out of it. I keep reading other bloggers’ tales of how yoga changed their bodies and fitness levels, so I think I am going to up the challenge. I am not sure how many days I can feasibly do per week at Equinox, given that I am already there taking a lot of classes and it’s hard to make boot camp and beginning yoga schedules coincide, so I think it might be worth it to practice at my apartment for the additional times. The new goal is three times per week in June.

I would love to do a DVD, but given the state of my bank account, I decided to go with a free download! On Yogadownload.com, you can get free 20 minute workouts, or pay a little more for longer workouts.

I chose Hatha Yoga for Beginners. It downloads to iTunes and then you can print a pose guide to accompany it. I am comfortable doing this because I have done enough classes now to know the basics. I think doing yoga this way will encourage me to do it more and see results (more flexibility) quicker.

What’s also great is that once it’s in iTunes, you can add it to your ipod, and do yoga pretty much anywhere!

have you tried elsie’s or hillary’s yoga classes on itunes? they’re free, full classes. they are really wonderful teachers and so generous with their time to post these classes on itunes. i’m sure you can find them by searching. if not, let me know and i’ll send a link.
