“What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses?” Oh, everyone’s favorite interview question! Well I figured I’d declare my diet and exercise strengths early on, so at a later date, no one wonders, “But why didn’t she just put down the goddamn fork?”
Strengths
Commitment to exercising–I never skip workouts!
Willingness to try new things–new foods, new classes.
Cardio–even after taking time off for my hip injury, my heart and lungs can still power me through a Spin class and I don’t fear for my life.
Lower body–room for improvement, but I have a pretty strong ass from spinning.
Weaknesses
Upper body and core–I couldn’t do a pull up for a million dollars.
Carbs and dairy–I could eat bread and cheese for every meal and not want for much. But I know this makes me bulky and bloated, so it’s actually better for me to try to keep my carb and dairy intake pretty low.
Alcohol–if alcohol were calorie-free, I would have been in AA years ago.
Commitment–it’s great, except when it’s not. I try to remember to use this power for good, rather than evil. Turns out, when you commit to M&Ms and Diet Dr Pepper as a daily breakfast, problems ensue.
These are the things I am working on enjoying “in moderation” so that I can be healthy without being bored and hateful.

Thanks for the archive. I’m getting caught up on your blog cuz you are motivation and hysterical at the same time. Now that I’m getting serious about fitness and health and it’s not just a “hobby” I need some humor! Carbs an dairy are my weakness too!
